6:00 SPEAKER_07: The cold steel bars of Death Row did little to contain the evil that was John Mercer.

6:06 SPEAKER_07: A convicted serial killer, John had spent years relishing the pain he had inflicted on others.

6:12 SPEAKER_07: Now, as his execution loomed, the once cocky murderer felt the weight of his own mortality pressing down.

6:20 SPEAKER_07: On the eve of his execution, he received an unexpected visitor, Sarah Whitmore, the widow of one of his victims.

6:28 SPEAKER_07: Her husband and two children had been slaughtered by John's hands, and now she stood before him, her eyes burning with rage.

7:35 SPEAKER_07: But little did he know that this encounter would be take a turn for the crazy.

7:39 SPEAKER_07: Sarah trembled with fury, but before she could respond, a sudden dizziness overtook them both.

7:45 SPEAKER_07: The world spun into darkness as their bodies hit the floor.

7:50 SPEAKER_07: When Sarah came to, the cold concrete of a prison cell pressed against her hands.

7:55 SPEAKER_07: But something was wrong.

7:56 SPEAKER_07: Her hands were large, rough, and unfamiliar.

8:00 SPEAKER_07: She staggered to the tiny cracked mirror on the wall and gasped in horror.

8:05 SPEAKER_07: John's face stared back at her.

8:08 SPEAKER_07: She felt her face and recoiled.

8:11 SPEAKER_07: It wasn't her face at all, but a man's face.

8:15 SPEAKER_07: She was now in his body, and he was in hers.

8:19 SPEAKER_07: She tried to scream, but no sound came out of her mouth.

8:23 SPEAKER_07: Panic and confusion consumed her as she struggled to understand what was happening.

8:28 SPEAKER_07: She saw John standing there wearing his orange prison clothes with his hands on his face.

8:34 SPEAKER_07: Meanwhile, in the prison's visitor corridor, John blinked in confusion.

8:39 SPEAKER_07: The feeling of weightless fear he had moments ago was gone, replaced with something else.

8:46 SPEAKER_07: He lifted his hands, slender, delicate fingers.

8:49 SPEAKER_07: A single glance at the reflection in the polished steel door confirmed it.

8:54 SPEAKER_07: He was inside Sarah's body.

8:59 SPEAKER_07: A wicked grin spread across his new lips.

9:03 SPEAKER_07: John, now in Sarah's body, couldn't believe his luck.

9:07 SPEAKER_07: He had never imagined that he would get a chance to escape the death penalty.

9:12 SPEAKER_07: He laughed maniacally as he looked and took a cigarette out of the purse.

9:16 SPEAKER_07: He knew that no one would believe her story.

9:19 SPEAKER_07: The guards barely noticed as John, now in Sarah's body, walked out of the prison, her visitor's pass granting him easy exit.

9:28 SPEAKER_07: He stepped into the world beyond the prison gates, inhaling deeply fresh air, freedom, a new face, a new life.

9:37 SPEAKER_07: John reached into Sarah's purse, found her key fob, and pressed the button.

9:41 SPEAKER_07: A blue fiat's lights flashed a few cars over.

9:44 SPEAKER_07: Inside the prison, Sarah screamed for help, trying to explain what had happened.

9:50 SPEAKER_07: But the guards saw only John Mercer, ranting and raving about body swapping and stolen identities.

9:56 SPEAKER_03: Nice try, Mercer.

9:59 SPEAKER_03: Lotta guys crack before going to the chair.

10:02 SPEAKER_07: One of the guards hit John, who was now Sarah, in the stomach, knocking the wind out of her.

10:07 SPEAKER_07: Sarah fought, pleaded, begged, but it was useless.

10:12 SPEAKER_07: They shackled her wrists, leading her toward the execution chamber.

10:17 SPEAKER_07: As they strapped her into the electric chair, she screamed.

10:23 SPEAKER_00: You gotta believe me.

10:24 SPEAKER_00: My name is Sarah Whitmore.

10:25 SPEAKER_00: John Mercer murdered my family.

10:27 SPEAKER_00: I don't know how it happened, but somehow we switched bodies.

10:30 SPEAKER_00: God damn it! You got the wrong person.

10:33 SPEAKER_00: Now he's out there walking around free in my body.

10:36 SPEAKER_00: He's going to kill again.

10:37 SPEAKER_00: You'll have a bloodbath on you hands.

10:40 SPEAKER_07: A man dipped a sponge in some water and soaked her bald head with it.

10:44 SPEAKER_07: A priest said the Lord's prayer and made the sign of the cross.

10:47 SPEAKER_07: All of the victims' families watched the pre-prep from the first two rows.

10:52 SPEAKER_03: They always say they're innocent in the end.

10:55 SPEAKER_07: The warden shook his head.

10:57 SPEAKER_07: The switch was thrown.

10:58 SPEAKER_07: The current surged through Sarah's stolen body, convulsing under the brutal force of the electric charge.

11:05 SPEAKER_07: Her screams echoed through the chamber until they were suddenly silenced.

11:09 SPEAKER_07: Smoke curled her head.

11:11 SPEAKER_07: The smell of her burnt scalp quickly filled the room.

11:14 SPEAKER_07: The world believed John Mercer was dead, but his work was far from over.

11:20 SPEAKER_07: He drove into the city, his new body carrying him toward an unsuspecting world.

11:26 SPEAKER_07: One that had no idea that death itself had just been reborn.
