5:32 SPEAKER_05: This morbid morsel is called Woods Bucking Yard.

5:45 SPEAKER_00: Have you ever been out in nature, enjoying the serenity of a hike, only to have something unexpected and terrifying happen?

5:52 SPEAKER_00: Well, you're about to hear a tale that'll make you think twice before stepping into the woods again.

5:57 SPEAKER_00: This is the story of Mark, a seasoned hiker who stumbled upon a nightmare he never saw coming.

6:04 SPEAKER_00: It was a crisp autumn morning when Mark set out on his favourite trail, one he'd hiked countless times before.

6:10 SPEAKER_00: The leaves crunched under his boots, birds sang their usual tunes, and the air was filled with that familiar, earthy scent.

6:18 SPEAKER_00: But little did Mark know this would be the last hike he'd ever take.

6:24 SPEAKER_00: As he ventured deeper into the forest, he noticed something strange.

6:28 SPEAKER_00: A patch of ground, darker than the rest, teeming with tiny writhing creatures.

6:33 SPEAKER_00: Curiosity got the better of him and he knelt down to get a closer look.

6:37 SPEAKER_00: That's when it happened.

6:39 SPEAKER_00: One of those minuscule insects leaped onto his hand, its tiny mandibles digging into his skin.

6:45 SPEAKER_00: He yanked it off, but the damage was done.

6:47 SPEAKER_00: Within minutes, Mark began to feel an unbearable itch.

6:51 SPEAKER_00: He looked down to see more of those insects crawling up his legs, burrowing into his flesh.

6:57 SPEAKER_00: Panic set in as he tried to brush them off, but it was no use.

7:01 SPEAKER_00: They were everywhere, eating their way inside him.

7:04 SPEAKER_00: Desperate, he ran back towards town.

7:07 SPEAKER_00: But with each step, the pain intensified.

7:10 SPEAKER_00: By the time he stumbled into the main square, he was barely recognizable.

7:15 SPEAKER_00: His skin was a patchwork of raw, bleeding flesh, and his eyes were wild with terror.

7:20 SPEAKER_00: The townspeople rushed to help, but it was too late.

7:23 SPEAKER_00: The bugs had already laid their eggs.

7:25 SPEAKER_00: Within hours the larvae hatched, spreading rapidly from Mark to anyone who came into contact with him.

7:31 SPEAKER_00: The town was soon overrun with these flesh-eating insects, turning a quiet community into a living nightmare.

7:38 SPEAKER_00: Doctors and scientists scrambled to find a solution.

7:42 SPEAKER_00: But the insects were unlike anything they'd ever seen.

7:44 SPEAKER_00: They thrived in the human body, multiplying at an alarming rate.

7:49 SPEAKER_00: Quarantine measures failed, and the town was sealed off, left to rot in its own isolation.

7:56 SPEAKER_00: Some say the town still stands, a ghostly reminder of what happens when nature turns against us.

8:02 SPEAKER_00: Others believe it was burned to the ground, an attempt to eradicate the infestation before it could spread further.

8:08 SPEAKER_00: But one thing is certain: those who witnessed the horror can never forget what they saw.

8:14 SPEAKER_00: So, next time you're out for a hike and you see something unusual, remember Mark's story.
